Thinkers Digest Finding out the poison within our society

We discussed many issues related to youth. Among the hot issues of hearing youth are centered moral decline and moral problems are vandalism, drugs, crime and many other negative issues often find in the community.

We are quite disappointed to see the problems that teenagers seem to have been uncontrolled. We also believe that we all disappointed when you watch on TV, hear on the radio and read in newspapers on issues youth problems.

What are the real problems that hit them?
How they can be trapped in the midst of this negative? 

Together we ponder the causes of youth problems now.


 1) Bias religious upbringing and education of moral collapse


Almost all issues of moral collapse was derived to malfunction religious upbringing. Every time we have to acknowledge that many elements of reckless youth around. Development of information technology sophistication that is beyond the limit, and neglect the real socio-sexual outside the control of elements that are intended. More unfortunate, when teenagers are forced to deal with the conservative, prevent and avoid them in absolute terms for involvement in the elements around them.



2) The fall of their family institution

If you asked most of the teenagers involved, mostly from the background of spoilt families. Parents are often in conflict or divorce may not separate. The failure of the family institution plays a role as 'role models' and their example also drag the youth away from the truth and awareness. If teenagers are asked decking themselves, but parents do not do so and look at this light, then close the shame culture among teenagers may not be implemented as a whole. If youth smoking is prohibited, but at the same time the family still practicing the act, may not exist a non-smoking young people. Leadership by example the example of family and community are some of the ways to save children from running into the social problems.




3) The influence of their peers

Can not be denied that their peers have greater influence than the influence of family members for many young people involved in the midst of this negative.



4) Mass Media

Namely the influence of mass media. This factor is the strongest factor that pushed young people to the extreme social problems. Media must show knowledge and universal values as an example for youth. Commercial interest should be waived because the agenda building youth self-esteem and genuine article for more highlighted.  Ads are conspicuous and stimulate the moral decline must be removed.



5) 'Spirit of belonging'

Not deprived of this nature is a good place that if channeled properly. Participate in associations or clubs such as Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM), the Federation of Scouts, Malaysia, and relevant examples are the best. But if that spirit is channeled to the negative group, it's not surprising negative result and that is why we see the typical teenage problems has clique and gangs groups of their own.

 


6) Trauma

Horrible experience ever to hit to the troubled teenagers that they are involved in immoral activities. For example, the background of their lives may often experience the nightmare of abuse such as physical and mental, for example. Perhaps they had received sexual harassment as an example. This is also the source point they began to rebel and start running with the negative social scene.

Previously in the first post, I talked a little about "mat rempits" aka the Malaysian biker gang. So now, I'll tell you about these gangs. Source Wikipedia.

Mat Rempit is a term for an individual who participates in illegal street racing, usually involving underbone motorcycles (colloquially known as Kapcai)  or scooters. Not all Mat Rempits are involved in street racing; some of them perform crazy stunts for fun, such as the wheelie, superman (lying flat on the seat), wikang, and scorpion (standing on the seat with one leg during a wheelie).


Mat Rempits usually travel in groups and race in bustling city centres on weekend nights. In recent times, Mat Rempits have been linked to gangsterism, gang robbery, street fighting, assault, vandalism, theft and bullying. Most motorcycles used by the Mat Rempits do not meet standard specifications, or have been modified extensively for greater speed, or just to make the exhaust noisier.

Additionally, some Mat Rempits do not have valid motorcycle licenses, do not pay road taxes, and ride stolen motorcycles. A growing number of housing estates have also been turned into racing tracks. It is estimated that there are about 200,000 Mat Rempits in Malaysia.

In some other countries, the term Mat Rempit is also used, but more to refer to one as a motorcycle lover or rider (Mat Motor), as opposed to an illegal motorcycle racer. Sometime the terms of Mat Rempit misused to refer any individual who rides an underbone motorcycle. Related to this is the Mat Konvoi, which claim to be the non-racing version of Mat Rempit.

So as the results of joining this group are,

At Thursday, fourth of December 2009. Din and his friend Devin went to Low Yat Plaza to vuy some new hardware for their computers. And when they're done, they went to Times Square to have their lunch in a KFC outlet in there. After that, on their way to exit the complex , they were stunned when they saw two teenage couple making out in public. The guy were holding his girlfriends breast while humping her back. Here's the proof :

Now imagine this two are your family members. How does it feels when you saw your son, father or your brother did this?

Today, our teenager our are now engrossed with the thing around and near them that are not beneficial. They would more likely to hang out in the cyber cafe or just killing their own time. But one thing is, they could change. What's the use if they go to their school if not earnest and to learn? If they just went there just to hang out with their friends or girlfriend, that's not the right place. Think a few times before doing it. Don't just follow your desire. As your desire corrupts.

Now with better technology in our country, so as them. Or at least some of them. I.E the mobile phone, it was actually used a telecommunication device to contact others. But now, it used as a porn viewer. The computer has both pros and con within it. The pros is, you could look out for some job or to work online. And for the cons, you could check out some "nice one".



DRUGS, now not even the adults are involved in this poison. But also the teenager around us. Drugs are the source to most mayhem that the teenager around us did. God given us brains to think, but why are we not using it? Everyone told us not to take this poison, but why we still did?



Bikers or "mat rempits" are now growing larger and larger. It is said that their parents who are not controlling them enough or are not observing their activities. This group are usually  influenced by their own friends to do some stunts to impress them.  This activities not only wasting the time of the authority but also the pedesterian that usually became their victim.



These activities shouldn't be happening if the parent guide their children. But remember. everyone can change.
